hah!! bro xenan dah tulis pasal threadless. and bro, thanks for the officesnapshots tidbits. its inspiring. really. online biz model, bak kata bro xenan nih, hanya bnyk sukses kat US. i slightly disagee with dat, bcoz, relatively, by size, we got lelong, mudah, n few local online stores. but i think, the growth are retarded due to the lackadaisical of internet usage among our people. ordeing shoes or tees from internet is not yet the 'ins' of our culture. but i guess, the trend now showing dat more people are going for online shopping these days. (dat will include me...)

ok since xenan dah berkesah tentang threadless, den nak share pasal zappo. err... actually, dah lama den simpan angan2 nak berbiznes o9 nih, tp asik bertangguh. ahh nanti lah. nak citer pasal zappos. zappos nih mulanya kedai yg jual kasut secara online. zappos was founded in 1999, but 2 bulan lepas tu, tony hsieh (the future ceo of zappos) joined zappos. ok tony lah orgnya yg bekerja keras menjana keuntungan zappos dr USD1.6M pada thn 2000 kepada USD1billion in 2008. woOOoOooOoohoooooOooooo... dats like wat, 1000% increased? aiyah. cannot kira oredi. but u get the picture.

yg menariknya, zappos is still really a small company dat was build on tradiitional values, by ordinary people with extraordinary passion n determination. and i kid you not. pertama kali den dengar pasal zappos nih masa tgk oprah last year. tony was so humble and down to earth ok. tony alone worth about 265millions sbb dia ada jual syarikat dia pada microsoft. and masa dia jual tu, dia baru berusia 22thn.

kat US je crita mcm ni wujud. or maybe den yg tak peka pd perkembangan semasa. ada tak usahawan muda yg jadi jutawan in their 20s? i mean, jutawan atas hasil titik peluh sendiri?

apa yg menarik minat den pada zappos is their working culture. masa tgk oprah, dia ada bg tgk how their offices looks like. ok its a company worth 1billion, tp opis dia sempoi jek. its an open space, ada bnyk2 cubicle and the ceo, which is tony, pun duduk dlm cubicle. bukan mcm ceo syarikat2 lain ada opis sendiri, but tony, who is worth 265million dollar alone, sits in a cubicle like the rest of them.

mcm mana nak bina sebuah company yg earning 1million to a company earning 1billion. these are wat these young people did. their zappos core values, which i think, with some minor adjustment, is what i would like my future company apply. hehehe..

DO WE REALLY HAVE TO WEAR THAT IF WE WORK IN AN OFFICE?? WHY CANT I WEAR WHAT I WANT AND BE HAPPY WEARING WHAT EVER I FELT LIKE WEARING FOR DAT DAY? whats wrong with shirt and jeans n slippers or sneakers?

i am so against dat biznes attire loads of craps. dats y zappos is really cool. or chillex (chill + relax). perhaps, its about our perception. hehe

ok.. online model biz? havent quite figured dat out yet. might be spending some time wondering about dat. i already spent the first 14hours of my day and night. i only got 10 hours left. and i slept for about 5 hours. so i really have only 5 hours daily. ok actually i only got 3 hours or less bcoz... well, even i have to eat, bath, day dreaming... hehehehe.. so come out people.. lets do biznes online!
